How does this make sense?

I don't understand the marketing strategy behind the Pepsi Throwback products. So you're proudly selling a lesser quality now than you did back then, but you're going to offer us the better product again now, for a limited time? HUH? They are bragging about using real sugar for this promotion, but will quickly take it away again? I don't get it.
