A smoothie kind of morning

Remember that Crenshaw melon I posted about earlier this week? Well that thing was HUGE! And it was very ripe when we cut it, so we didn't get around to eating it all before it started getting a little soft. Guess what that means? Smoothies for breakfast!

This morning's ingredients included Crenshaw melon, a peach (skin on), a little OJ, plain yogurt, and ice. The kids drank every last drop. What a healthy way to start the morning!

  1. What brand of blender do you use? I've had several over the years, and none seemed to be very good at crushing ice for smoothies or frozen cocktails. I've never bought any of the more expensive models, though.

Also, I'm going to try to find some Crenshaw melon. It sounds delicious!
